The Senal MC5-MS is a dual-channel stereo condenser microphone offering a realistic, phase-accurate stereo image for accurate capture of dialog and environment sounds in ENG, interviews, documentaries, and various video production scenarios. Featuring two highly sensitive electret condenser elements arranged in an X/Y configuration, the MC5-MS is well suited for stereo and mono recording, and boasts a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz when used in stereo (or 70 Hz to 20 kHz in mono). Each microphone element outputs to a Neutrik 3-pin XLR connector, making it an ideal mate for XLR-equipped camcorders capable of providing 40 to 52 VDC phantom power. The compact, shotgun-style body is designed to stay out of frame, even when mounted to a camera. Its rugged metal construction ensures durability while inhibiting RF interference, noise from vibrations, and problematic resonance.
