The Sennheiser e614 is a condenser microphone super cardioid, designed for instrument recordings demanding and performance that require a response in extended frequency, high SPL, rapid transient response and compact dimensions. Although the aerial miking of drumset was the first priority of the project, the e614 also works exceptionally well on percussion. The E614 is able to handle high sound pressure levels and has a medium sensitivity, which guarantees a reduced recovery of the other instruments on stage. Because of its properties excellent acoustics, this microphone is also ideal for the home-recording.
