These granules kill the queen and colony in as little as 48-hours with a formula that needs no watering. Use the convenient shaker bottle to apply outdoors on fire ant mounds and ant nests or use as a broadcast treatment in your lawn to control ants (except carpenter and pharaoh ants). Treats up to 3,000 sq. ft. of lawn when applied as a broadcast treatment. For best results, apply Spectracide 1-Shot Fire Ant Killer in the early Spring or Summer at the first sign of ant activity. Reapply again in the Fall to reduce the number of ants that return next spring.
