Volume2 is aimed at DAW users (Digital Audio Workstation). Most D / A converters and cards audio do not have an analogue level control e this entails the need to vary the signal levels to the converter outputs. The result is a reduction of the bit rate in the control signal, which can lead to proportional loss of audio quality. A further field of very interesting application is the construction by part of the audiophile of a high quality chain for the stereo playback, where Volume2 is located between the machine (CD, SACD, DVD-A, etc) and the power amplifier or simply to the active speaker system. In such cases, the reproduction machine must have available of analogue outputs.
