Piilu Clematis is a manageable vine that produces 4 in. to 5 in. double flowers with 2 shades of lilac in early summer. Reblooms with single flowers in late summer. It is a manageable size, growing 8 ft. to 10 ft. T with medium green foliage. An excellent choice for growing over fences, walls, arbors or trellises and works well when planted in containers. for best results, plant in rich, well-drained soil with a pH close to neutral. Prefers a situation where the tops are in the sun and the roots are shaded by low-growing plants or mulch that keeps the soil cool and moist.
