Stepper motor drivers capable of micro-steps and with digital interface, integrated 2 bit DAC and StallGuard™ for bipolar 2 phase stepper motors. Bi-directional SPI control interface for micro step process and diagnosis. Fully protected unit (short circuit, excess temperature, excess temperature prior warning, open load). Diagnostic functions (short circuit, excess temperature, excess temperature prior warning, open load). The TMC246 integrates an efficient MOSFET end stage with low power intake and heat generation for currents of up to 1.5 A per phase. The TMC249 offers a simple connection of external MOSFETs (4*P-MOS + 4*N-MOS) for currents up to 4 A per phase or up to 10 A and higher voltage with additional gate drivers.
