The 3/8 in. x 1 in. x 9 in. Cedar Textured Joint Cover is the perfect accessory to SmartSide engineered wood siding. These joint covers are used to protect the butt joint where 2 siding planks meet. They will prevent siding from buckling by providing an expansion joint. They eliminate the need for caulking and the maintenance that follows. A wraparound lower lip hooks the siding on 1 end requiring 1 nail to hold it in place.
