Heated by the light bulb, the wax expands until it becomes less dense than the liquid. The wax floats to the top of the glass cylinder where it cools down and sinks back to the bottom. The lamp is powered by 230V/AC, 50Hz. No other source of energy can be used. The lamp is only for indoor use only.
