In the event of an overcurrent, the affected channel will be shut down safely and reset per programmed protection characteristic. The 787-861 Circuit Breaker provides active short-circuit current limitation to 1.5 times its rated current, preventing a voltage drop in one current path from affecting others in the event of a short-circuit. Current path trip times may also be configured. Once a channel has been shut down, it can be reactivated via on-unit keys or by an impulse at the remote control input of the 787-860 or 787-862 Circuit Breakers.
