Warm Audio

WA-87

Categories

Description

The classic '87 is without doubt the condenser microphone a large diaphragm most used in the history of recording pop. Instead of basing the WA-87 circuit on current incarnations of this microphone, Warm Audio has decided to follow closely the projects of the initial circuits that date back almost half a century ago. As with many classic microphones, the engineers they worked with different versions of these microphones, often prefer the warmer and more forgiving nature of the models available in past. The WA-87 is equipped with discrete high components qualities like FET Fairchild, Tantalum, polystyrene, and WIMA film capacitors, and is completed with a Cinemag USA output transformer. The WA-87 uses with pride a custom Lens Kondensator reproduction of the classic K-87 double-plate / double-diaphragm capsule, like the one found in the microphones of the early 1987s.
