Configuring HP WebQoS
Maximum
Deferral Time
The maximum amount of time, in seconds, a customer is
deferred.
If the deferral time is greater than the specified maximum
deferral time, the customer is served the "Server Temporarily
Unavailable" page. This value must be greater than the
minimum exclusion time.
If this value is smaller than the minimum exclusion time, these
two values are added together to make a new maximum
deferral time.
Server
Temporarily
Unavailable
The "Server Temporarily Unavailable" message (error code
503) served to redirected requests.
This is the easiest but least informative way to respond to a
redirected request. Extra system load may be generated by
customers who try to immediately re-establish a connection.
Customized
Page
A customized web page on the local system served to
redirected requests.
Enter the relative path and file name of the customized web
page (the path is relative to the document root of the web
server). The path must be preceded by a backslash ("/").
You can provide information to the customer such as why the
session was redirected and when would be a more opportune
time to return to the site (you can analyze the server log files to
find off-peak periods).
A customer is more likely to return to the site at a later time
and less likely to try to immediately re-establish a connection.
This web page should be short and must not contain any
embedded images.
To work in a hardware virtual server environment, this page
must be accessible from the document root of each hardware
virtual server.
