• – –copy–contents

Recreate a redundant copy of the unreadable data that is located on a dam-

aged medium. The copy is recreated from the corresponding data in another

FSE media pool assigned to the same FSE partition, if it exists. The recre-

ated data is created on the open or empty medium volumes in the FSE media

pool to which the damaged medium is assigned. If the – –no–monitor op-

tion is not speciﬁed, the progress of the maintenance job that performs the

recreation will be reported to the command output. Refer to File System

Extender User146s Guide for the redundant copy recreation process details.

• Add a new FSE medium with barcode backup_tape_05 to the FSE conﬁgu-

ration:

fsemedium – –add backup_tape_05

• Add a new FSE medium with barcode backup_tape_10 to the FSE conﬁgu-

ration and assign it to FSE media pool pool_bkp:

fsemedium –a backup_tape_10 ––pool pool_bkp

• Remove the FSE medium with barcode backup_tape_13 from the FSE con-

ﬁguration:

fsemedium –r backup_tape_13

• Remove the FSE medium with barcode backup_tape_78 from the FSE con-

ﬁguration; skip conﬁrmation:

fsemedium –r backup_tape_78 –F

• List barcodes of the conﬁgured FSE media within the FSE installation:

fsemedium – –list
