In addition, it is necessary to inform both LSM and HPIO that NPIV should be used
LSM Requirements
LSM does support NPIV, but the LSM product is installed with the feature turned off by default. In
order to enable NPIV for LSM, you must do the following:
1. Edit C:\Program Files\HP\Virtual Server Environment\conf\lsa\lsa.properties
2. Locate the following line: “NPIV_ENABLED=0
3. Change this line to: “NPIV_ENABLED=1”
4. Save the file
5. Restart LSM as shown below through Windows “Services”

HPIO Requirements
HPIO does support NPIV, but the HPIO product is installed with the feature turned off by default. In
order to enable NPIV for HPIO, you must do the following.
1. Edit C:\Program Files\HP\Insight Orchestration\conf\hpio.properties
2. Locate the following line: “npiv.enabled = false
3. Change the line to: “npiv.enabled = true”
4. Save the file
5. Restart HPIO as shown below through Windows “Services”
