Post-Installation Tasks
When you have finished installing the Serviceguard Manager software, do the following.
1. Restart SMH to integrate SMH with Serviceguard Manager:
/etc/init.d/hpsmhd restart
2. To verify the installation, open a web browser and navigate to http://
[hostname]:2301/
The System Management Home Page appears. Go to the SMH Tools and select
Serviceguard Manager.
NOTE: If you see the following error message, it means you specified an incorrect
JDK path when you ran tomcat_cfg:
Bad gateway. The proxy server received an invalid response
from an upstream server.
You may need to use find to check the path, as instructed in the Note near the
beginning of “Installing the Serviceguard Manager Software” (page 43), or
download the JDK if it is not on the system; see “Before You Start” (page 42). Then
re-run tomcat_cfg and supply the correct JDK path.
Using Serviceguard Manager to Configure the Package clog for Consolidated Logging
After the cluster is configured (see Chapter 5 of Managing Serviceguard for Linux, or the
HP Serviceguard for Linux Version A.11.19 Deployment Guide referred to in the Note at
the beginning of the section “Installing HP Serviceguard for Linux” (page 38)) you can
use the procedures that follow to set up and review consolidated logs.
Setting Up a Shared Storage Location for the Consolidated Logs
Set up shared storage for the consolidated logs on one cluster node. You do this from
the command line; proceed as follows:
