23 7 Statistics Counter Half-Full and Uncleared - At least one
operational or service statistics counter reached the half-full level
and was not cleared.
23 6 Statistics Counter Maximum and Uncleared - At least one
operational or service statistics counter reached maximum and
was not cleared. Each such counter is held at its maximum value.
23 5 MSI/MSR

Communications Start-up - The flag is reported with
the first message to the MSI after the MSI/MSR port is enabled
(due to PCF

start-up) or re-enabled (for instance upon returning
from use of an alternate port for MSI/MSR communications).
23 4 Track Sequence Error - A mismatch was detected between a
track number (HTKN

) read from the SubArea and the expected
track number.
23 3 Data Path Error - An error was detected in the Physical Block
read or write data path. This may be in the data processing
hardware path or significant errors detected in the data itself.
23 2 MSR-Electronics Internal Error - A significant error was detected
in MSR-Electronics hardware or soft-ware such that subsequent
operations are likely to be compromised. This condition may be
detected at power-up/reset or later. This flag then remains set in
subsequent messages.
23 1 Linear Tracks Error - A significant linear tracks write, reproduce,
or timing error was detected by the MSR-Electronics or -
Transport.
23 0 Rewrite(s) Performed - While writing, the MSR has re-written a
Physical Block one or more times due to errors detected in the
read-while-write process.
24 7 Transport Communications Error - The MSR-Electronics has
detected an error in Electronics/Transport serial
intercommunications such as a timeout in response to a
command.
24 6 Transport Communications Down - The MSR-Electronics has
determined that a non-recoverable breach has occurred in
Electronics/Transport serial communications. Only a power-up or
hard reset can provide recovery from this condition; however
commands not requiring the transport may be executed.
24 5 Reserved
24 4 Transport Record Fault - The transport has detected a hardware
or software error which prevents proper recording.
