LIU4 CONSIDERATIONS
Following are some special considerations that apply to LIU4s.
These apply to both terminals and printers.
• Terminals and printers cannot be mixed on an LIU4.
• You must include the CLIP_4 SYSGEN modifier in the PATHS
section of the configuration file.
• The LIU4 allows different speeds for transmit and receive.
You must use SYSGEN to specify different speeds for transmit
and receive. Changing the transmit or receive speed with CMI
or SETMODE sets both speeds to the same value.
• Subdevices 1 and 2 share one clock generator, and subdevices 3
and 4 share the other. Each clock generator uses a different
clock register. Each register supports a particular set of
baud rates, as shown below.
When configuring baud rates for LIU4 subdevices, you must
select compatible rates, as follows:
-- Configure subdevices 1 and 2 with baud rates from the same
group (either group A or group B).
