Programmer’s Reference Manual describes how to do this.

Note. You cannot configure a transaction (XA) JDBC connection pool or JDBC
TxDataSource to use with a JMS JDBC store. JMS must use a JDBC connection pool that
uses a non-TxDataSource with a non-XAResource driver.
