COPY Command

OUT <error file>
specifies the name of an existing Tandem file or
device to which any error and warning messages are
directed. If not specified, it defaults to the
home terminal.
,options
is one or more of the following options (multiple options are
separated with commas):
DATAFILE <file name>
specifies the name of the database file to be converted by
PCFORMAT. If this option is not used, PCFORMAT
checks to see if a database file was designated for <record
name> with an ASSIGN command. If not, the file named in
<record name> is converted.
DICTIONARY <subvolume>
specifies the volume and/or subvolume of the database
dictionary associated with <record name>. When this
option is used, the current system, volume, and/or
subvolume are used to fully qualify the data file named in
<record name> when the system, volume, and subvolume
of the data file are not specified. For example, if <record
name> specifies only a file name as the data file (e.g., “File
is CYCPARTS”), the file is assumed to be on the current
system, volume, and subvolume. If this option is not used,
the dictionary is assumed to be on the current subvolume.
NOHEADING
suppresses the field headings defined in <record name>
from the first line of <output file>. If this option is not
used, the headings are written to the first line of <output
file> and a null character string is generated for fields
without headings.
