As further explained in the following section, CHUMP is an
HDLC protocol optimized for use in multidrop serial networks
typically used for RFID readers. The SAMSys Interrogator
Control and Concentrator Module (ICCM) is the Primary Station
on a SAMSys reader network. The RFID readers are the
Secondary Stations.
SAMSys readers can be configured to operate in Normal
Response Mode (NRM) by selecting RF Polled Mode or RF
Continuous/Serial Polled Mode. The readers can also be
configured to operate in Asynchronous Response Mode (ARM)
by selecting RF Continuous/Serial Continuous Mode.
