Components
A component in a data object name is indicated by a colon (:). The colon is the
separator between a data object and the group or category type of which it is a
component (or the card name in which it is contained).
For example, Record is a component of the OrderFile data object. The object
name for Record is Record:OrderFile.
The name of the Quantity component in the input card shown below is
Quantity:Record:OrderFile.
When you see a colon, you can substitute the word โofโ. You could read the data
object name for Quantity as โthe Quantity of Record of OrderFileโ. The card
name always appears last in each object name to distinguish card objects.
