For quick and easy access to all the information, the Mercator Online Library
contains thousands of pages of information about Mercator products in Adobe
Acrobat PDF format. The Mercator Online Library is available on the Customer
Zone of the www.mercator.com Web site and on a CD-ROM.
Another source for learning about Mercator products is the \Examples folder that
is installed with the Design Studio product. These examples illustrate how to use
Mercator products to accomplish a specific task. They should give you ideas about
how to achieve your goals when mapping your data. Each example is accompanied
by a readme.txt file that contains information about the example.
In addition to the examples and the Online Library, extensive Help is available for
each application. The Design Studio includes a full, context-sensitive help system
that provides the information you need, when you need it. Press F1 to easily
access reference and procedural information.
Help
Comprehensive Help is available for the Design Studio applications. The Help
system provides easy access to descriptions and procedures for all application
features and functions including various menus and tools. Access the help system
by selecting Contents from the Help menu.
Help is available at several levels:
♦ Dialog box Controls - You can access an explanation for every control in a
dialog box such as fields, lists, check boxes, settings, and buttons.
♦ Menus, Tools and Windows - Help is available for menu commands and tools
in any main window of a client product component as well as for active
windows such as any Navigator, properties window, the organizer window, a
trace window, and so on.
♦ Dialog box - The use of each dialog box is explained in a step-by-step fashion
providing the information you need to complete the dialog box. Some tips and
helpful hints or examples may also be provided.
♦ Table of Contents - Help topics are listed in the Table of Contents with a
searchable index providing comprehensive information about using the Design
Studio and related software components.
