Interface Name of the interface connecting to a PIM neighbor.
Neighbor address IP address of a PIM neighbor.
Uptime
Length of time for which the PIM neighbor has been up, where a
"01:02:11:32:18" value means that the neighbor has been up for 1 week, 2
days, 11 hours, 32 minutes, and 18 seconds.
Remaining lifetime
Remaining lifetime of the PIM neighbor, where a "00:02:45" value means
that the neighbor will time out in 2 minutes and 45 seconds and "never"
means that the PIM neighbor never times out.
PIM configuration example
In this example, Device A is the firewall.
Network requirements
As shown in Figure 344, receivers receive VOD information through multicast. The receiver groups of
different organizations form stub networks, and one or more receiver hosts exist in each stub network. The
entire PIM domain operates in the dense mode.
Host A and Host C are multicast receivers in two stub networks N1 and N2.
IGMPv2 runs between Device A and N1 and between Device B and N2.
