DescriptionStatusParameter name

This parameter can be specified when tiercontrol is set to
enable.
Specifiable values vary, depending on the microcode version.

Optional
(P9500)
monitoring-
mode
#1, #5
#1
For P9500, you need to specify at least one of the following parameters: threshold,
threshold2, threshold2mode, overprovisioningwarning, overprovisioninglimit,
adddevnums, tiercontrol, automigration, migrationinterval, monitorstarttime,
monitorendtime, or monitoringmode.
#2
For XP24000/XP20000, you need to specify at least one of the following parameters: threshold,
overprovisioningwarning, overprovisioninglimit, or adddevnums.
#3
If you specify threshold values for overprovisioningwarning and overprovisioninglim-
it, two levels of warnings related to the over-provisioning percent can be issued. For
XP24000/XP20000, these threshold values are specific to and managed by the Device Manager
server.
#4
The over-provisioning percent is the percentage of the total size of all THP volumes with respect
to the THP pool size. For example, if the pool size for Thin Provisioning Software is 500 GB and
the total size of all volumes for Thin Provisioning Software is 400 GB, the threshold value will be
80 %.
#5
For details about the values used when tiercontrol or automigration setting is changed
from disable to enable, and migrationinterval, monitorstarttime, monitorend-
time, and monitoringmode are omitted, see AddPool on page 66.
#6
There must be an interval of at least one hour between the times specified for monitorstarttime
and monitorendtime. The same time cannot be specified for monitorstarttime and
monitorendtime.
Parameter values to obtain in advance
serialnum and model
Obtain these values from the execution result of the GetStorageArray command. In the execution
result, use the arrayType value or the displayArrayType value to specify the model para-
meter, and use the serialNumber value to specify the serialnum parameter.
poolid
Obtain this value from the execution result of the GetStorageArray (subtarget=Pool)
command. In the execution result of this command, the poolID value appears under An in-
stance of Pool. Use this value to specify the poolid parameter.
