HP Matrix Operating Environment 7.3 Update 1 Installation and Configuration Guide for Provisioning with Virtual Resources

3. Select and configure management features.
You can begin by selecting features for all the systems you've selected. The wizard analyzes
your current configuration, selects the dependencies, and excludes those features that are not
appropriate for selected systems. As an alternate option, you can select features for each
individual system. When you select a top-level feature such as HP Matrix Operating Environment
the wizard might not be able to determine if some components or prerequisites are not required
for each individual system. For example, installing OpenSSH is not required for Hyper-V hosts
or VME servers (vCenter or SCVMM).
Follow these steps to configure management features for the selected systems in the MSSW:
a. In the Select Features step, specify the management features you would like to configure
for managed systems you selected.
The screen below shows the default view, which you can use to license multiple servers
at once.
For this environment, HP recommends that you select HP Matrix Operating Environment
(which will also select HP Insight Control virtual machine management by default) as a
minimal feature selection.
WARNING! If you select Matrix OE for a hypervisor and HP Insight Control virtual
machine management is not automatically added, this indicates that the discovery task
may not have properly identified the server as a hypervisor. You must inspect the discovery
task results to determine a proper action.
