DescriptionStatusParameter name
LU device number
If omitted, the number is automatically generated.
This parameter can be specified in decimal, and in
colon-separated hexadecimal. If you specify a hexadecimal
number, for XP12000/XP10000/SVS200 and XP1024/XP128,
use the xx:yy format, where xx is the CU number, and yy is the
LDEV number. For P9500 and XP24000/XP20000, use the
ww:xx:yy format, where ww is the LDKC number, xx is the CU
number, and yy is the LDEV number. ww is optional. If you omit
ww, the LDKC number is regarded as 0.
The execution results are output in decimal.
Optional
devnum
If set to LDEV, return the information on LDEV(s) related to the LU.
The value you can specify is LDEV only, which is not
case-sensitive.
Optional
lusubinfo
Format status of LDEVs that constitute an LU
You can specify the following values:
none: Creates an unformatted LDEV.
normal: Creates a formatted LDEV.
quick: Creates an LDEV formatted by using Quick Format.
If omitted, a formatted LDEV will be created.
If you specify this value, make sure that the value of the
autoFormatLU attribute of the StorageArray instance is 0.
You can specify quick only for P9500 and XP24000/XP20000
whose microcode version is 60-02-4 X-XX/XX or later.
Optional
(P9500,
XP24000/XP20000,
and XP12000/
XP10000/SVS200)
format
The unit for the value specified in the capacity parameter
The values you can specify are KB or block.
If this parameter is omitted, KB is set as the unit.
block can be specified for P9500, XP24000/XP20000, and
XP12000/XP10000/SVS200 only.
Optional
capacitytype
#
For P9500 and XP24000/XP20000, if you do not specify the fsindex and creationoption
parameters, you can optimize the regions of unused capacity to create an LU.
Parameter values to obtain in advance
serialnum and model
Obtain these values from the execution result of the GetStorageArray command. In the execution
result, use the arrayType value or the displayArrayType value to specify the model para-
meter, and use the serialNumber value to specify the serialnum parameter.
chassis and groupnum
Obtain these values from the execution result of the GetStorageArray (subtarget=Array-
Group) command. Execute this command by specifying only the model and serialnum para-
meters, and ArrayGroup for the subtarget parameter. In the execution result of this command,
the chassis value and the number value appear in an ArrayGroup. Use these chassis and
number values to specify the chassis and groupnum parameters respectively.
