HP StoreEver Command View for Tape Libraries (CVTL) v. 3.7 and Interface Manager Firmware v I274 Release Notes

The following network port is used by the Management Station to communicate with the Command
View TL database:
5450 (TCP) bidirectional (required for CVTL 3.5.00)
By configuring your firewall with respect to Management Station to allow communication through these
ports, the web browser you use to run Command View for Tape Libraries can be on the other side of
a firewall from your Management Station.
The following network ports are used by the Management Station to communicate with the Interface
Manager:
8098 (TCP) bidirectional in CVTL 2.8.00 or lower
8099 (TCP) inbound
18098 (TCP SSL) outbound
By configuring your firewall to allow communication through these ports, the Management Station can
be on the other side of a firewall from your library.
The Interface Manager requires the following ports to be open on the Management Station:
22 (TCP) inbound, SSH Access for CLI usage
25 (TCP) outbound, SMTP eMail client
53 (UDP+TCP) outbound, DNS client mode
67-68 (UDP) outbound, DHCP client
123 (TCP and UDP) bidirectional, to communicate with the NTP server
161 (UDP) bidirectional, to communicate with the SNMP trap server
MSL G3 libraries require the following ports to be open on the Management Station:
22 (TCP) inbound, for service and future diagnostic functions. This port can be disabled by the
admin if they choose.
80 (TCP) bidirectional, HTTP library is a webserver for administration purposes
161 (UDP) bidirectional, required to communicate with the ESL G3 library
162-169 (UDP) inbound, one port in the range required to receive the SNMP traps
427 (UDP+TCP ) bidirectional, SLP Service Locator Protocol
443 (TCP) inbound, HTTPS Secure Webserver
5696 (TCP) outbound, KMIP communication port on the server. Library uses a non privileged port.
ESL G3 libraries require the following ports to be open on the Management Station:
22 (TCP) inbound, SSH Access for CLI usage
25 (TCP) outbound, SMTP eMail client
53 (UDP+TCP) outbound, DNS client mode
67-68 (UDP) outbound, DHCP client
123 (TCP and UDP) bidirectional, to communicate with the NTP server
161 (UDP) bidirectional, to communicate with the SNMP trap server
80 (TCP) bidirectional, HTTP library is a webserver for administration purposes
161 (UDP) bidirectional, required to communicate with the ESL G3 library
162-169 (UDP) inbound, one port in the range required to receive the SNMP traps
389 (TCP) outbound, LDAP non-secure LDAP client
427 (UDP+TCP ) bidirectional, SLP Service Locator Protocol
